Toss n Tell – February 2018 – Sushi rolls
February 17 @ 9:30 am - 4:30 pm
This year we are doing things differently!
9:30am – Doors open – set up for the free mini-workshop
10:00am – 11:30am -Sushi rolls: a hands on demonstration and mini workshop with Sue Eslick. This will include 3 different ways to make sushi rolls, and different ways to use them.
What to bring:
Your usual felting kit including – a small quantity of wool tops in different colours, plus off cuts of felt or prefelts
a spray bottle plus small container both containing soapy water
a piece of non-slip rubber drawer lining approx 40 cm long (if you don’t have any, just bring bubble wrap)
a sushi mat, small bamboo blind, or old tea towel.
This will be an expanded version of our previous demonstrations but now includes a hands-on opportunity to try out the new technique under the guidance of a skilled tutor. Different felt techniques will be taught each month by our own experienced felt makers.
11:45am to 12.30pm – Lunch, felt display table, and sharing felting news and new work.
12.30pm to 1.30pm Library & Bookings will be open.
12:30pm to 4pm – Felting time – more time for you to continue experimenting with the morning activity, or work on your own felt project.
4:30pm – Close
From March, we have arranged for different suppliers of felting materials to bring along a pop-up shop each month, and many of these people will also be running the mini-workshop.
