This month’s Demo is Tubes – Making and attaching with Sue Eslick
Felt tubes (or hollow cords) can be used in various ways – to make jewellery, or to add wild and
crazy attachments to hats, bags or cushions. They can be left hollow, or can be filled. Join us at the
February Toss and Tell to learn how to make felt tubes and how to attach them onto a felt project.
We will explore the wonderful ways they can be shaped, manipulated and used to take your felt to
the next level!
Bring along your felting materials as after the demonstration, we can all try out making a felt tube.
your usual felting kit,
a small amount of wool tops (approx. 20gms), plus
a piece of grip mat (approx. 30x50cm) and
small lengths (approx. 30cm) of round dowel or pipe of slightly different diameters (minimum 2
pieces). You can use anything you have at home – broom handle, tent pole, plumbing pipe, table legs
