Make a stylish beret to ward off the winter blues.

Berets are simple and fun to make, and different designs, shapes sizes can reflect your personality.  They don’t need to be round – can be square, flower shaped, oval etc.

Participants can design their own felt beret, or use one of Sue’s standard templates.  The workshop will teach the techniques in felting around a resist, cutting and shaping the beret to get a strong, durable hat with a quality finish.

This workshop is suitable for new felters who have learned the basics.

More experienced felters can add tucks, pleats, dreadlocks etc. to create a masterpiece (though you if you go really wild, you might need to finish it at home).

Sue Eslick specialises in making 3 dimensional felt – hats, bags and tea cosies, with quirky designs.  She has run many workshops for Feltwest and other groups throughout WA.
