Beginners Extension Workshop: Spikes can be fun, August 7th

Spikes can be fun! We’ll show you two ways to make them and a variety of ways to use them!
Join this months Teachers Jean McKenzie and Kerry Bertucci to make a sample of Spikes – Yikes!
Objective: make a sampler exploring 2 different methods for making spikes and how to attach them.
  • Skills Covered:
  • Layering of wool
  • Making pre-felt
  • Rolling to keep shape round
  • Band aid attachment
  • Fulling with spikes
4 Hours – 10:30 start 3:30 Finish, allowing 1/2hr lunch, 1/2hr pack-up & re-cap.
Student to bring:
  • Towel and tea towel
  • Own lunch
  • Plastic bag
  • $10:00 for wool 
  • or
  • Up to 100 grams of fine merino wool
Felting Kit supplied for loan

The room is booked from 9.30 onwards and other Feltwest members will be there felting.  You are welcome to turn up anytime from 9.30 onwards to meet other members and work on your own felt project.
