Feltwest Beginners Extension classes aim to teach a range of new felting techniques to people who have completed the Beginners Class and want to know more. The Extension Classes will be based around making samples using different techniques, taking account of the specific interests of the participants. Class sizes will be small with a maximum of 6 participants per tutor.
Please note time and duration change
Classes will be from 10.30am -3.30pm. BYO lunch.
The May 1st class will teach how to NUNO felt.
Nuno is a technic that incorporates fabric as well as wool generally creating a softer draping fabric. However it can be firm, very textural and tactile.
Both results can be used to make the entire garment or used as embellishments such as cuffs, collars, sleeves, panels, a matching broach or as trim (etc) in a creation or to make a complete garment.
